Physostegia virginiana - Obedient Plant Pink
Obedient plant, also known as false dragonhead, is a fast-growing perennial that is easy to grow. It prefers full sun and well drained soil that is on the acidic side. Stunning pink flowers appear in summer and continue to autumn. . Flowers open from the bottom of the stalk and work upwards. Plants spread by seeds and rhizomes. I then mine out during my autumn tidy up. Height 1.5m.

Francoa sonchifolia - Pink (Bridal Wreath or Wedding Flower)
Francoa sonchifolia is a delightful perennial from Chile. Spikes of soft pink flowers appear at the start of summer and continue until the start of autumn. Francoa is an evergreen with mounds of crinkled foliage that changes to red during winter. Grows best in mild climates (frost tolerant) in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Ideal for dry shade gardens and woodland gardens.

Candelabra Primrose - Primula beesiana
Candelabra Primrose is a herbaceous perennial with attractive whorls of deep-pink to purple flowers with a yellow centre. There are up to eight whorls on a stem and they stand tall to 60cm. Plants form flat rosettes of light green, crinkly leaves to 20cm long. Flowering from late spring through summer. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and other insect pollinators.

This plant self seeded in a different section of my garden to where I grow my Chocolate Lace Flower ('Dara' Daucus carota). This is its first year of flowering and producing seeds. So, I have no idea what the flowers will be like from these seeds. But I am hoping that by sending these seeds out into the world, we will be able to develop a new white variety.

Helenium autumnale 'Wyndley' (Sneezeweed / Autumn Coneflower)
Heleniums will bring warm colour to your garden from mid-summer into autumn. The daisy-like flowers resemble coneflowers, blanket flowers, and black-eyed Susan flowers. They are 5cm in diameter, with wedge-shaped bright yellow rays and dome-like, protruding center disks that are dull in color.
