A favourite of Edwardian garden designer Gertrude Jekyll.

Large flower heads that are made up of clusters of small daisy like flowers. Flowers can be either single or double. These blooms are held on slender, wiry stems that sway gracefully in the breeze, creating a dynamic yet subtle movement in the garden. Grows to around of 60 to 90 cm high.

Achillea ptarmica 'The Pearl' thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. While it tolerates a range of soil types, it performs best in moderately fertile, moist but well-draining soils.

Flowers are excellent for fresh arrangements or dried floral displays. Their longevity in a vase makes them a popular choice among florists.

Sow seeds during autumn or spring. I recommend sowing seeds into pots as these are small seeds. Place seeds on top of the soil and water. Note seeds need light to germinate. Keep seeds damp but not wet. Seeds will germinate when temperatures are around 20cm. Grow plants to around 10cm in height, harden off and plant out.
