Sanguisorba canadensis, or Canadian burnet, is a clump-forming perennial in the family Rosaceae native to North America that is commonly found growing in wet areas. It has narrow cylindrical heads of white fluffy flowers. Height 1.5m.rest on a whorl of decorative bracts. Long flower period from mid summer to early autumn.

Sisyrinchium striatum is a semi-evergreen perennial that makes impressive clumps of upright blue-green sword shaped leaves. Soft lemon-yellow flowers are freely produced on strongly vertical stems during late spring and summer. Grow to a height of 70cm.

Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantina)
Lamb's Ears are a perennial known for their thick velvety foliage that creates a softly textured mat in the garden. This plant is known also for its hardiness. Drought and frost tolerant, thrives in poor soil and loves the sun. Just make sure it doesn't get too wet. It is an excellent plant for rock gardens and dry gardens. Lamb Ears are suited to a range of growing zones however it does not like humidity.

This is your classic daisy. It is a herbaceous perennial plant with the classic daisy appearance of white petals around a yellow centre. A robust, clump-forming plant with thick, narrow, dark green leaves. Flowers appears from early summer to autumn. Flowers are large, around 10cm across on sturdy stems.

Thalictrum aquilegifolium 'Alba'
Thalictrums would have to be one of the prettiest woodland plants. They grow in height from 20cm up to 2m. This perennial species typically grows 60 to 90cm tall and features lacy, fine-textured, bluish-green foliage that resembles those of a Columbine. From late spring to early summer the fuzzy white or mauve flowers appear.

Agrostemma githago (Corncockle)
Agrostemma githago (Corncockle) is an annual wildflower that grows in meadows and is popular with cottage gardens. Flowers appear on top of tall stems (approx 60cm) so they appear to be floating. Flowers are around 4cm across. I grow mine through wire structures to support their stems. These plants require full sun and fertile moist well drained soil.

Introduced by Henry Eckford in 1886 so you know it is special. Purple Prince is a heirloom variety. This means it has the strongest scent for sweet peas. Stems are around 20cm in length. To use for cut flowers, cut a length of vine.
