A dazzling evergreen perennial with silvery foliage and vivid magenta blooms that thrive in sunny, dry gardens with little fuss. Plants are upright, narrowly branched with stems of magenta pink flowers that appear during summer to autumn. Each flower is around 3cm across. It is a biennial or short lived perennial but self seeds with ease.

Grow in moderately fertile to humus rich, well drained soil, they aren’t too fussy as long as they have drainage. Choose a full sun to part shade position, they are quite dry tolerant so water as needed.
Rose campion lasts several days in the vase and looks great in summer bouquets.
Sow seeds in autumn directly into the garden. Water in, keep area on the damp side. Seeds will germinate during spring.
