Scabiosa columbaria - 'Samantha's Pink'

Masses of frilly light pink pin-cushion flowers that are excellent cut flowers. I have this one growing under my roses. It gets morning sun and afternoon shade. It is growing is rich soil that is well drained. Scabiosa columbaria is a evergreen perennial that flowers for months and as you can see the bees love it. Frost hardy and dry tolerant but don't let it dry out. Height 40cm.

Sow seeds into pots during autumn. Keep damp but not wet. Seeds will germinate when temperatures are around 15 to 20C. Grow onto around 10cm in height, harden off and plant into the garden.
