Attractive, hardy, small rounded perennial which produces masses of deep-blue to purple flowers in Spring and Summer. Salvia 'Blue Queen' is perfect for creating a splash of colour in pots or in the garden.
Ideal for rockeries and mass plantings. Grows approx. 30cm tall x 30-50cm wide. Grow in full sun in well drained soil. Drought tolerant once established and tolerates heat and humidity.
When sowing, remember Salvias need light to germinate (don't cover seeds). Due to the size of the seeds, I recommend sowing seeds in pots. Keep damp, not wet. Seeds will germinate when temperatures are around 20cm. Grow plants to 10cm in height, harden off and plant out.
