Lychnis flos-cuculi - Ragged Robin or Cuckoo Flower (Pink)

It may come as a surprise but bog plants are the most stunning and interesting group of plants.

Ragged robin is a hardy perennial that thrives in damp soil including bog gardens, wet meadows and marshy ground. Part afternoon shade is best in hot summer climates. Height approx 75cm. It can take up to 5 years to reach this height. Attractive for butterflies and other pollinators. Suitable for natural landscaping.

Sow seeds gently on top of potting mix and leave as seeds need light to germinate. Keep moist in well-lit position. At around 20C, seeds will germinate in around 10 to 20 days. Grow on in pots for the first year, transferring into the garden the second year.
