This delicate annual adds a real punch of colour to gardens for several weeks. Grow these plants in full sun in well draining , humus rich soil. I prefer to direct sow these seeds. Make sure your garden is well weeded first and mulched. I scatter my seeds as part of my autumn clean up. It is also the same time that the seeds will have naturally dropped. Scatter the seeds and water. If let to go to seed, you will have these plants for many years. These are hardy plants. I have mine growing amongst hydrangeas, nigella, mondara with my lilac tree. Height 90cm.
These flowers are held on long strong stems making them a florist's dream.
