A low-growing, short-lived perennial that forms a dense mat of delicate silvery-gray foliage dotted with star-like, pristine white flowers with notched petals. This plant self seeds around my garden filling in gaps and softening edges. It is dense enough to prevent weeds but soft enough to allow my spring bulbs to pop through. It handles full sun and frost with ease. It is not fussy about soil type but prefers well drained soil. Hight to 20cm.
Seeds can be scattered directly into the garden during spring or autumn. But since these are small seeds, I recommend you sow your seeds into pots. Once you have plants established in the garden, let them self seed or harvest seeds and scatter there where you want them. Since these seeds are quick to germinate, I recommend you sow your seeds at the end of spring in pots. Sprinkle seeds on top of soil and gently water. Note, seeds need light to germinate. Keep damp but not wet. Seeds will germinate in approximately 10 days. Grow seedlings to a height of 10cm, harden off and transplant into the garden.
