Campanula persicifolia is a graceful clump-forming perennial with tall stems adorned by cup-shaped flowers. ‘Boule de Neige’ is a rare peach-leaved bellflower that once took 18th-century English gardens by storm. This variety is distinguished by the fullest flowers of all which are a crisp white (5cm across) that are produced on long sturdy stems. Best grown in fertile, neutral to alkaline, moist but well drained soils in sun or partial shade. Perfect for woodland edges and gardens that get some afternoon shade. Height 90cm.
The flowers of Campanula persicifolia are a long lasting cut flower.
Due to small size of the seeds, it is recommended you sow them in pots during autumn. Carefully place seeds on top of the potting mix. Gently water. Keep seeds damp but not wet. Seeds will germinate when temperatures reach around 20C. Grow plants to around 10cm in height. Harden off and transplant into the garden.
