Dive into my collection of unusual seeds and plants.

What is special about my seeds?
* My seeds are all grown by hand, harvested by hand and packaged by hand. I do not purchase and repack seeds from other sources. My seeds are grown not flown.
* My seeds are open pollinated as they are grown in garden beds not fields of single varieties (monoculture). My system creates a diverse ecosystem. Large areas of single variety plants greatly reduces the opportunity for a diverse ecosystem to develop. My gardens are teaming with microorganisms, insects, birds, frogs and more. As a result, I have healthier plants that produce high quality seeds.
* I work with nature not against it. I am a trained horticulturist and as such, educated in methods of natural prevention and control. I do not use chemical pesticides.
* I store my seeds in cool conditions until posted. My packaging is as environmentally friendly as possible. I am continually researching for more sustainable practices for my business.
* Seeds are replaced each harvest. I have very high germination rates. In trails I have been the only seed company to have 100% germination rate with my sweet peas.
* My system produces smaller quantities of seeds so I cannot compete with large seed companies. I do aim to keep my seed and plant prices as competitive as possible and offer bulk amounts on some of my seeds.
* You will, however, find many seeds available from me that are hard to source. I have been collecting parent plants and growing plants from seeds for over 15 years. As a result, I know my plants and can offer first hand knowledge on how to grow your seeds and plants.

Welcome to Fascinating Botanicals
The home of Horticulturist, Artist / Designer Kerin-Lea Kelberg.
My passion for plants and botanical artwork started when I was seven with a book that I still have today. I created my first garden at the age of 10 with cuttings my grandmother gave me. The ability to grow plants and nurture them became a life long passion. Since then I have never been without a garden.
My interests are plants from the northern hemisphere especially North America, edible flowers and growing my own food (and naturally cooking it). I am recognised as a sweet pea expert and previously owned Australia's Sweet Pea Specialists.
My garden is located in Tasmania. I moved from Queensland to indulge my love of cool climate plants. My horticultural philosophy is to keep things simple by mimicking nature. An essential element to achieving this is having a garden that is organic and sustainable. Something I carry into all aspects of my life.
I have published several horticultural articles and have been featured in Gardening Australia. I am available for presentations and workshops.
As a qualified graphic artist, I am passionate about the arts. My work is like my garden, wild and colourful. I have hand drawn the botanical images on my seed packets. My artwork has been sold around the world with designs being used in theatrical productions.
